Refund and Returns Policy

Effective date: July 22, 2026

CanadaDate provides online dating, social discovery, messaging, membership, and optional premium digital features. This policy explains how cancellations, renewals, and refund requests are handled.

Digital Services

CanadaDate memberships, upgrades, and premium features are digital services delivered electronically to the purchaser’s CanadaDate account.

We do not sell or ship physical products. As a result, there are no physical goods to return or exchange.

Membership Cancellations

You may cancel a recurring membership at any time through the available account or subscription controls or by contacting CanadaDate support.

Cancelling a membership prevents future renewal charges. Unless otherwise stated or required by law, cancellation does not immediately remove access already paid for. Your premium access will generally remain available until the end of the current paid billing period.

Deleting your CanadaDate profile or account does not necessarily cancel an active recurring payment agreement. You should cancel the subscription before deleting your account or contact us for assistance.

Recurring Payments

Products identified as subscriptions automatically renew at the billing interval displayed during checkout until cancelled.

The price, billing frequency, applicable taxes, and any other required charges will be shown before the purchase is completed. One-time purchases do not automatically renew unless they are clearly identified as recurring products.

Members are responsible for cancelling before the next scheduled renewal date when they do not wish to renew.

Refunds

Because premium access and digital features are normally made available immediately after payment, completed purchases are generally non-refundable once the service has been activated or used.

Refunds are not normally provided for:

  • A change of mind after premium access has been activated.
  • Failure to use the purchased membership or feature.
  • Unused time remaining after a membership is cancelled.
  • A lack of messages, matches, profile views, responses, or personal connections.
  • A member choosing to delete or stop using their account.
  • Failure to cancel before a scheduled renewal.
  • Features that are temporarily unavailable because of routine maintenance.
  • Suspension or termination resulting from a violation of CanadaDate’s Terms of Use, safety rules, or community standards.

Refund Exceptions

CanadaDate may approve a full or partial refund when:

  • The same purchase was charged more than once.
  • An incorrect amount was charged.
  • A purchased feature was not delivered or activated because of a verified CanadaDate technical error.
  • CanadaDate experienced a substantial service failure that prevented meaningful use of the purchased service and could not reasonably resolve the problem.
  • A transaction was unauthorized, subject to reasonable verification.
  • A refund is required under applicable consumer-protection law.
  • CanadaDate determines that a refund is fair and appropriate in the circumstances.

Submitting a request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved.

Account Suspension or Termination

CanadaDate may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate its Terms of Use, community standards, safety requirements, or applicable law.

Refunds are not normally provided when an account is suspended or terminated for misconduct, fraud, harassment, impersonation, prohibited content, payment abuse, or another serious policy violation.

This does not limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

Technical Problems

Members experiencing a technical problem should contact CanadaDate before requesting a refund and provide enough information for us to investigate, such as:

  • The email address connected to the account.
  • The name of the purchased product or membership.
  • The purchase date or order number.
  • A description of the problem.
  • Screenshots or other relevant information, where available.

We will make reasonable efforts to restore access, correct the transaction, or provide another appropriate resolution.

Requesting a Refund

Refund requests should be submitted through the CanadaDate support or contact system.

Please include the account email address, order information, reason for the request, and any supporting details. Requests should be made as soon as reasonably possible after the charge or problem is discovered.

Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method whenever possible. The time required for the funds to appear depends on the payment provider and financial institution.

Payment Disputes

Members are encouraged to contact CanadaDate before beginning a payment dispute or chargeback so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.

Submitting false or abusive payment disputes may result in account restrictions or termination.

Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits a consumer right or remedy that cannot be excluded under the laws applicable to the purchase. Online consumers may have cancellation or refund rights where required purchase information is not provided, a contract is not properly delivered, or the purchased service is not supplied as agreed.

Changes to This Policy

CanadaDate may update this policy to reflect changes to its services, payment practices, or legal obligations.

The version in effect when a purchase was made will generally apply to that transaction unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Contact CanadaDate

Questions, cancellation requests, and refund requests may be submitted through the CanadaDate contact or support page. Include the email address associated with your CanadaDate account so that we can locate the relevant membership or order.
